Souvenir Beer and its original artwork by @llscdesigns are inspired by iconic places across Nova Scotia, reimagined as a modern take on the classic postcard. This is not an official product of Tourism Nova Scotia, the Province of Nova Scotia, Parks Canada, or any other organization. It is simply our way of celebrating the people, landscapes, and places we love and call home.
The Land We're On
Candid Brewing Company is located in Nalikitquniejk, a Mi'kmaw word meaning "the place where the branches are broken off" from where the town of Antigonish derives its name. Nalikitquniejk is located in in the district of Eskikewa'kik, the "skin dresser's territory", in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded homeland of the Mi'Kmaq people. This land is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship, first signed in 1726, which acknowledge that we are all treaty people with shared responsibilities to this land and each other.
